Jenkins, considered the gateway to the Whitefish chain of lakes.
These lakes represent one of the favorite summer home and resort locations in the area. The
Jenkins business district is quite small; however, the trail user's basic need for
refreshment or necessities can be met here. One disadvantage is the fact that the trail is
separated from the tiny commercial core by the area's major traffic carrier, TH 371, which
runs parallel to the trail. Trail users should take caution when crossing at this
location.
